| Soul of New Mexico is the only site of its kind in New Mexico. Soul of New Mexico is designed to publicize events, businesses, places to go, and other web sites that are indigenous to the African American. There was a projection in 2000 that 12 million Black Americans would be online taking advantage of the technology highway. African Americans are going online at more than double the rate of the general population. Soul of New Mexico is participating in this rapid growth. Soul of New Mexico will promote and allow Black Americans in New Mexico to engage in this state of the art technology to communicate and network. |

 Patricia Watts, founder of Soul of New Mexico, has always had a passion for communication, a passion to facilitate, and a passion to establish the African American multifaceted community in cyberspace. This method will transform online communities into recognizing the significant contribution of African Americans as well as give African Americans another method of networking. |
